“…this was during the mid-1990s…and I thought it was really silly that we would have single parents…and they would have a rough time getting homework done because they had to take care of their children. And it occurred to me that, Gee, you know, maybe after they got the kids to bed, rather than watch television—I mean, they’re still young enough that their minds are still sharp enough—why couldn’t they get on a computer and do some of their coursework on a computer? The theory was there, okay? I think the need was there, and obviously it was because it took off.”
